Enable ReadyNet Routers

Before you begin please make sure your new router is powered up and connected to the internet.  This is done by connecting an ethernet cable from your internet provider into the WAN port of your router.  Once you are powered on and connected you are ready to begin.

*NOTE: If you are connecting your new router into an existing modem/router, typically provided by your ISP,  you will want to make sure that device is in bridge mode and/or the WiFi radio has been disabled. Please contact your ISP if you need assistance with these setting adjustments.

  1. Connect to your new router using a computer with an ethernet connection or wirelessly. ( The default wireless name and password are listed on the bottom of the router.)
  2. Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc) and go to in the address bar.
  3. Login to the router using the username and password that are located on the bottom of the router. The default user name is “user”.

Securing Your Router

You will want to secure your router to prevent others from accessing your settings or tampering with your account. To do this you will want to follow these steps.

  1. Click the “Administration” Button located on the top menu line.
  2. Under the “Password Reset” column you can change the login name to something more personal. The default is “user”.
  3. Enter a new password and then type it again in the “confirm password” area.
  4. Click “Save and Apply” at the bottom of the page.

Enable CleanerNet Service

Your new router should already have CleanerNet services running once it connects to the internet. You can confirm this by following these steps.

  1. Select the “Security” button located on the top menu line.
  2. Click the “Router Limits” tab and make sure it is enabled.
  3. Toggle the option next to Router Limits to “Enable”.
  4. Click “Save & Apply”
  5.  Click Here when you are ready to activate your CleanerNet account. Do NOT click the activate link in the router menu. This will not work.

Changing Your WiFi Name And Password

You can change the name and password for your WiFi connection by following these steps.

  1. Click on the  “Wireless 2.4Ghs” tab on the top menu line.
  2. Change the name on the “Multiple SSID” line to whatever you want your wireless connection to be.
  3.  Click “Save” on the bottom of the page.
  4. Open up the “Wireless Security” tab
  5. Enter the passphrase or password you want to use in order to connect to your WiFi on the line next to “Pass Phrase”
  6. Click “Save” on the bottom of the page.
  7. Repeat these same steps using the same name and password on the 5ghz Tab.

*NOTE- Some devices may have a difficult time connecting to your WiFi if both networks have the same name. If this occurs simply change the name of the 5G network slightly, click  save, and reboot the device.

Save And Reboot

Now that you have changed the user name and password to get into the router and you have set your WiFi name and password please make sure you have them written down somewhere for safe keeping. If you do not remember your login you will have to factory reset the router and do all of this over again ( you do NOT want to do that.. Trust me). Once you have all of your information stored and in a safe and accessible place you will want to follow these steps.

  1. Click Save At The Bottom Of The Screen.
  2.  After the screen refreshes you will want to hit the “Reboot” button
  3.  You will see a status bar showing that the Router is rebooting.  When this is done you should be able to see your new WiFi connections and connect to your new network.

Once you complete the steps above you are ready to activate and set up your CleanerNet account if you haven’t already done so. Click on the button below to get started.
